Abstract

Background: Chronic illnesses such diabetes, cancer, stroke, cardiovascular disease, and chronic respiratory disorders
cause substantial healthcare and financial burdens and are responsible for 74% of deaths worldwide. Through
education, care coordination, support for self-management, and technological integration, nurse-led interventions have
become a crucial tactic to enhance results. Focusing on types of interventions, multidisciplinary collaboration, patient
outcomes, and the impact on the healthcare system, the aim of this systematic review was to evaluate and summarize
the evidence for nurses' involvement in the management of chronic diseases.
